Pet Vaccinations
Vaccines for Dogs and Puppies
Typically, puppies are started on a vaccine schedule when they are around 8 weeks old. The vaccines help prevent diseases that are caused by several viruses and bacteria. (Rabies, parainfluenza, hepatitis, distemper, and parvovirus, leptospirosis, kennel cough and canine influenza.) We also have a rattlesnake vaccine, which we are happy to educate you about.
Vaccines for Cat and Kitten
Like puppies, kittens are usually vaccinated starting when they are around 8 weeks old. We generally recommend rabies and FVRCP vaccines (herpesvirus, calicivirus, panleukopenia) for all indoor cats. Indoor/outdoor cats should be vaccinated for feline leukemia virus as well.
